The sun is shining, the yard is full of hair as the winter coats are shed and the shiny summer coats are coming through. The horses are loving their swimming and are in the dam most days with or with out the riders! The firey necked night jars are singing, the frogs are calling and lilly white legs are being exposed. Spring has sprung.
Come and meet us in London, Horizon Horseback will be represented at the riding holiday show Nov 6th 11am – 6pm at the Strand Palace Hotel, London. Please do contact us for tickets, entry is free but tickets must be booked in advance.
After 15 years and doing everything it is possible for a horse to do at Horizon Jack has gone back to his original owners for retirement they recently contacted us asking if he was available and we felt it only fitting that he return to them, we do miss his jumping antics and wish him well in his new home.

HORSEBACK WEDDINGS AT HORIZON ADVENTURES Planning a wedding or special occasion can be a daunting and stressful task, especially with today’s modern pressures of having the perfect traditional celebration. Horizon can offer something different and very romantic: a beautiful African venue, tranquil settings, close encounters with game and, of course, horses a plenty! To eliminate the stress of organising the big day, a liason person will be appointed to you with the backing of our full compliment of over twenty staff. For the adventurous, the ceremony itself can be conducted mounted on horseback. Alternatively, the lodge garden alongside the beautiful lake, complete with resident hippo pod is very picturesque, while the plain, frequented by zebra and giraffe, is an authentic and unusual setting for the ceremony. |

If guests would like a truly African experience, the Boschdraai Gospel Revival Choir from the ranch can also accompany the ceremony. Horizon can offer accommodation for up to 50 people on the ranch, using various lodges all within a 5 mile radius of the Horizon lodge. The style of the wedding, the decorations and the catering can all be tailored to specific needs and budgets. By simply detailing individual requests and preferences, a unique occasion can be created that surpasses all expectations and will be remembered for years to come.
